Another underwhelming day, but I’m not going to let it get me down. I spent time working at the library, spent quality time with the boyfriend, and got on a Google Hangout with a friend I haven’t seen for a while. We all need days like today, so who cares if I hardly got any reading done? It was still a good day and I feel refreshed and ready to read my butt off today. I’ve also made a change in my original goals. I don’t know why I give myself book goals anymore. I don’t follow them ever. I probably won’t finish 4 books this week because I started three new books today and have been switching back and forth. From today onward, and future BoB read-a-thons, I will be more focused on pages read. If I only read one book and a half of another but I read 1,000 pages then that is good enough for me! So here is me saying I have changed my goal to 1400 pages. I will have to push myself the next three days but I think I can do it!
I was just extremely lazy today. I spent a few hours just reading articles online about all sorts of things. I would pick up a book and then read about four paragraphs and then find another article that I wanted to read and somehow I ended up reading an article about “30 things that are great about living in Iowa” so it was one of those days. (I mean it’s not too weird because I did live in Iowa for a year and a half.)

How did you do for day 3? Did you do the challenge? Link them up! Happy reading and good luck on day 5 🙂
Tomorrow starts a week long read-a-thon that I’m participating in for the first time! It is hosted by BoutOfBooks. Since I have school, baseball, work, and a boyfriend to juggle, I won’t be making my goal for books too incredibly big.
I would be happy just finishing two and starting a third.
- Soccernomics- Simon Kuper
- The Silent Wife- A.S.A. Harrison
- Pop Goes the Weasel- James Patterson
Since I am already reading the first two, I can guarantee I will be finishing at least one of them by next Sunday. I will be posting the reviews here as usual but also a new thing I’m starting on Thursdays!
I am also doing a summer reading challenge (well two of them.) but one of them involves keeping track of how many pages and books I read in a week. I will be posting daily recaps on here of what I read and how many pages I read.
Are any of you doing any read-a-thons or reading challenges this summer?
