June projected reads (posted in May favourite): I’m hoping to read 6 books. I want to read Cop Town by Karin Slaughter | Tokyo Killer by Barry Lancet | Run for your Life by James Patterson
Since I started a TBR jar, I didn’t make a plan for what books I wanted to read. It was much easier this way and I had more fun with it this month than trying to stick to a set list of books.
Actual June reads:
- Cop Town– Karin Slaughter
- Run For Your Life– James Patterson
- Don’t Talk To Strangers- Amanda Kyle Williams
- The Beach Quilt– Holly Chamberlin
- The Bell Jar– Sylvia Plath
- We’ll Always Have Summer– Jenny Han
- A Wedding in Provence– Ellen Sussman
- Trespassers– Andrea Miles
- Then Came You– Jennifer Weiner
- Before I Go– Colleen Oakley
- Virgin– Radhika Sanghani
- Ten Big Ones– Janet Evanovich
- Hopeless– Colleen Hoover
This month was filled with ARCs from Netgalley and library books. I ended up using my TBR jar for two of the books but I’m okay with that. My favourite book this month was Hopeless by Colleen Hoover and it wasn’t particularly close. I was hooked from the first page and had a very hard time putting this book down. It was fun and light at times but deep and dark at others. There were so many things that I liked about it. I haven’t yet written a review for it, but I’ll hopefully have it up sometime this week. It was such a strong book. I am not so patiently waiting to read her other books as well. Coleen Hoover could become one of my favourite authors if all of her books are this fantastic.
Honorable mentions: Ten Big Ones by Janet Evanovich | The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath | Virgin by Radhika Sanghani
Really all the books I read this month were really good. It was hard to pick my honorable mentions because they were all great in their own ways.
July projected: Finish Where Have I Been All My Life? by Cheryl Rice | Fever Pitch by Nick Hornby |at least three books from Netgalley | any books that are still on hold at the library
What was your favourite book this month? What do you plan on reading in July?
