Currently reading: [E-reader]The Beach Quilt by Holly Chamberlin
This is an ARC and comes out June 24, 2014. It’s cute so far. I’m not very far in so I’m not sure if it’s going to be good or not but it is keeping my attention. The characters are distinguishable and likable so far. The synopsis sounds good, so I’m excited to see how it turns out. It’s a breath of fresh air after reading some heavy books lately. I’m hoping to take a break and read some cute romancey books for a week or so, just to get a break from dark material.
Currently reading: [Physical] The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
I’ve heard about this book forever it seems like, but just never got around to reading it. Many of my friends have read it and love it, so I decided to check it out at the library and read it when I’m not on the computer. It’s taking me a while to read this one just because I only read it when I wake up and when I’m going to sleep, so I only read a few pages a day. I’ll hopefully have more time for it soon because I’m very addicted to it already and want to see how it goes. I can already see why it’s a classic and why so many people love it.
Recently finished reading: Don’t Talk To Strangers by Amanda Kyle Williams
Also an ARC. July 1, 2014 is the publication date. This book was awesome and I plan on reading the other books in the series as well. This was the third book in the series so at times it was a little confusing. Luckily it gave away no spoilers of the first two. It was an exciting book with many twists and turns and an exciting ending. I highly recommend this book. Warning: it is dark and deals with very serious things.
Reading next: [E-reader] A Wedding in Province by Ellen Sussman
Truthfully, I don’t know a whole lot about this book. It’s an ARC as well, so I just found it a few days ago. The synopsis sounded really cute and is part of my plan to take a break from the scary books. Hopefully I like it and can send good feedback to the publisher.
Reading next: [Physical] Then Came You by Jennifer Wiener
I’ve read like five pages of this book but it seems like something I would really like. Hopefully I can connect with the characters and enjoy Jennifer Wiener’s books as much as others do.
