Today was the first day of BoutofBooks’s read-a-thon and I would say that I started it off right.
Firstly, I finished Soccernomics and now am focusing on The Silent Wife. I am about 70 pages from finishing the book so I’ll be finishing it sometime on Tuesday. I try to read between 50-100+ pages a day even when I’m not doing a read-a-thon but I especially during a read-a-thon getting as many pages in as possible is important.
On Monday I read a total of 238 pages. Hopefully I can keep this up and I may be able to read more than the two books I had planned.
Soccernomics was awesome but I already did a review on that one. The Silent Wife is awesome so far and is keeping me wrapped in it, since the beginning. I really really do not like Todd but that’s the point. Jodi is annoying at times because she can’t seem to figure out if she should forgive Todd or not. If I could jump in the book and tell her what to do, I would. The writing is spectacular. The chapters are just the right amount of pages to keep me reading and on my toes. I imagine it’s going to be a surprise twist within the next few chapters to end the book in a completely different way than I think.
- Finish The Silent Wife
- Start Pop Goes the Weasel
- Read 150+ pages
